I am divorced and am paying the full mortage payment and property tax for a home purchased during the marriage. My ex does not work and does not contribute to any of these payments. Can I take the full property tax and interest deduction for tax purposes?

If you are obligated to make the payments and do so, yes. Tell the lender to send Form 1098 to you.

If you are the one paying it, and your name is on the loan and the title whether his is or not, then yes you can deduct the whole amount.
